Job Summary
Relationship Analyst in Tokyo supporting and strengthening institutional client relationships within Wellington Management’s ITM framework. The role entails governance of the ITM product management framework, oversight of vendor SLAs and due diligence, end-to-end documentation for fund-related activities, and operational oversight of ITM fund activity (e.g., NAV calculations, subscriptions/redemptions). The RA will respond to client inquiries, build internal and external stakeholder relationships, support the sales lifecycle (qualification of opportunities, RFP coordination, and pitch-material coordination), and collaborate with legal, compliance, portfolio services, and other functions. Fluency in Japanese and English is essential; strong Bloomberg, Salesforce, and MS Office skills are expected. The team emphasizes collaboration, client servicing, and a high standard of professionalism in a global investment-management context; the firm supports a hybrid work arrangement (office 4 days/week with remote 1 day/week).
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in client servicing roles within the investment industry, including Japan ITM
- Fluency in Japanese and English (both written and spoken)
- Bachelor’s degree; postgraduate qualifications or progress toward a CFA designation is preferred
- Proficiency in Bloomberg, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interest in investment management with analytical/problem-solving mindset
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills for client-facing and internal settings
- Collaborative team player with proactive, self-starter mindset
- Demonstrated track record of achievement and professionalism
- Experience supporting ITM fund operations and related disclosures
Desired Qualifications
