Job Summary

Greet members warmly, listen to their needs, and offer personalized product recommendations for loans, credit cards, and online banking. Process transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and account openings for consumer, fiduciary, and business accounts. Achieve individual and team sales goals by promoting credit union products and participating in marketing campaigns. Resolve member concerns professionally and escalate complex issues as needed. Maintain strict compliance with regulations and confidentiality standards while supporting branch operations and team collaboration.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, preferably in a financial institution
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and building strong customer relationships
  • Experience with handling cash and balancing transactions accurately
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods as needed (up to eight hours)
  • Must be capable of standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching for periods of up to 8 hours or more
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs
  • Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day
  • Must be capable of climbing and descending stairs in emergency situations
  • Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer, tablet, telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator
  • Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management
  • Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance, including Saturdays
  • Must be able to work indoors in a climate-controlled shared work environment with minimal noise
  • Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day
  • Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer, tablet, telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator
  • Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using financial software and systems
  • Experience with opening and closing accounts, processing loan applications, and providing financial advice to customers
  • 1 year of financial institution experience/retail banking strongly preferred
  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both written and verbal forms
  • Demonstrates basic sales techniques and works to understand Member needs
  • Shows a developing knowledge of financial products and services
  • Able to work effectively with supervision and contribute to a team setting
  • Organized and learning effective time management strategies
  • Maintains confidentiality and follows established ethical guidelines
  • Open to ongoing training and committed to professional growth
  • Willing to take on multiple tasks and develop prioritization skills
  • Attentive to detail and working toward accuracy in processing financial transactions
