Job Summary

Lead technical architecture for reinsurance software implementations, upgrades, migrations, integrations, and enhancement initiatives. Analyze business, functional, nonfunctional, security, data, and operational requirements to define scalable, secure, and supportable solution designs. Translate reinsurance business needs into detailed architectures, integration specifications, and implementation plans covering applications, interfaces, data flows, and operational support. Collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and developers to estimate effort, manage risks, and guide technical delivery teams through design reviews and production deployment. Define data migration strategies, establish integration patterns, and ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, performance, availability, and regulatory compliance. Create architecture documentation, interface specifications, and decision logs while communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, application architecture, or enterprise solution delivery
  • 5+ years of experience serving as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, Application Architect, or technical lead for complex software implementations
  • Experience delivering insurance or reinsurance software implementation, modernization, migration, or integration projects
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, application design, integration patterns, data architecture, and the software development lifecycle
  • Demonstrated ability to translate functional and nonfunctional requirements into scalable and supportable technical designs
  • Experience designing and delivering enterprise application integrations using APIs, web services, messaging, batch interfaces, file-based integrations, or equivalent technologies
  • Experience with relational databases, data modeling, data transformation, query analysis, and data reconciliation
  • Experience supporting data migration, conversion, or legacy-system modernization initiatives
  • Strong understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, encryption, auditability, and secure development practices
  • Experience with testing strategies, defect resolution, release management, deployment planning, and production stabilization
  • Ability to evaluate technical alternatives, document architecture decisions, and clearly communicate associated benefits, risks, and tradeoffs
  • Proven experience leading technical teams in a distributed, client-facing, and matrixed delivery environment
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple technical priorities and deliver high-quality solutions within project timelines and budget constraints

Desired Qualifications

  • Direct experience with DXC SICS
  • Experience with other reinsurance administration platforms or insurance industry software solutions
  • Knowledge of treaty and facultative reinsurance processes, including contract administration, premiums, commissions, claims, recoveries, accounting, settlements, and reporting
  • Experience integrating reinsurance applications with policy administration, claims, billing, finance, general ledger, analytics, document management, and regulatory reporting systems
  • Experience with cloud-based, hybrid, or distributed application architectures
  • Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or another enterprise cloud platform
  • Experience with APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, integration middleware, and enterprise service platforms
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, source control, automated build and deployment processes, and continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Experience with performance engineering, capacity planning, application monitoring, and production-support readiness
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Previous consulting experience delivering solutions for insurance or reinsurance clients
  • Architecture or technology certifications related to cloud platforms, enterprise architecture, security, databases, integration, or software development
  • Insurance or reinsurance designations such as ARe, CPCU, or equivalent industry credentials
