Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary
The Reimbursement Specialist will manage Medicare cost reports and ensure timely acceptance, tentative and final settlements, interim rates, and CMS-mandated limits for providers within FISS, while maintaining system data (FISS, STAR) and collaborating with multiple internal teams to resolve provider issues and support onboarding. Responsibilities include processing cost report correspondence, evaluating documentation for submission criteria, updating rate changes based on reviews, and responding to provider inquiries about payments and reimbursement topics. The role emphasizes building relationships, contributing to process improvements, and supporting staff development; it requires attention to detail, effective communication, and strong analytical abilities. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- At least 1 year of experience accounting, or healthcare
- Strong data entry accuracy
