Job Summary
Collect, analyze, and report healthcare financial and operational data to ensure accurate reimbursement, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making. Manage Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting, third-party reimbursement analysis, revenue optimization, financial reporting support, and audit preparation. Maintain databases for allocation statistics and physician information while assisting with Medicare Cost Report preparation, month-end close, and year-end audits. Support hospital operating budget development focusing on gross and net revenue projections, patient volumes, and coding accuracy. Respond to inquiries from internal departments, government agencies, and auditors while utilizing specialized healthcare finance software to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare reimbursement experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement processes preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare financial reporting and cost reporting requirements
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively
- Proficiency with computer applications, including spreadsheet software and financial reporting tools
- Experience with healthcare financial systems, patient accounting systems, and general ledger applications preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with finance leadership, operational teams, auditors, and external partners
- Demonstrated ability to support organizational change and process improvement initiatives
