Job Summary
Monitor a large portfolio of account receivables and engage in proactive collection of outstanding balances. Answer questions regarding team functions, assist management with team direction, and monitor the accuracy and timely processing of appeals to various payers or programs. This role supports the revenue cycle operations at UW Health, the #1 hospital in Wisconsin, leveraging expertise in medical and insurance terminology, CPT, and ICD coding structures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle or clinic operations role
- 1 year experience in a healthcare revenue cycle operations role plus 1 year of prior leadership experience
- Three years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle or clinic operations role with progressive leadership responsibilities
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Information Management or related field
- Epic experience
- Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, CPT, ICD coding structures, and billing forms (UB, 1500)
