Job Summary
Collect and manage account payments while submitting clean Medicare claims electronically or by paper. Monitor assigned accounts, research and resubmit rejected or denied claims, and prepare appeals. Maintain communications with branch staff and leadership regarding claims status and issues, and answer inquiries from patients and Medicare representatives. Resolve patient-billing issues and assess accounts receivable delinquencies. This role requires 2 years of Medicare billing experience and is eligible for 100% remote work in specific states.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of previous experience with home health, hospice, or Medicare billing and collections
- Demonstrated competency with computers, including advanced typing skills
- Well organized and detail oriented with a desire and ability to maintain excellent records
- Ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a high volume, interactive environment
- Reside in a state where Enhabit currently operates (AK, AL, AR, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MO, MS, MT, NC, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WY)
