Job Summary
Reimbursement Access Manager (RAM) is a field-based, strategically focused role dedicated to ensuring patient access and reimbursement for iRhythm’s Zio services across designated geography. The RAM serves as the market-facing expert on payer policy, billing workflows, claims adjudication, and patient assistance programs, partnering with Sales, Revenue Cycle, Legal/Compliance, and payer stakeholders to identify and resolve access barriers, educate providers, reduce denials, and drive both financial and clinical outcomes. Key duties include serving as the primary field-facing contact for access/reimbursement inquiries, training provider staff on co-pay support and prior authorization, managing documentation and medical necessity criteria, tracking trends, and integrating financial assistance programs into workflows. The role requires strong knowledge of CMS policies (Medicare Parts B & D), HIPAA compliance, coding (CPT/ICD-10), and payer processes, with substantial travel (approximately 50%+). Ideal candidates will be strategic problem solvers with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of working independently and cross-functionally to align reimbursement strategy with commercial growth. Remote-US location with compensation range typically $115,000–$149,000 and the opportunity to impact patient access to lifesaving diagnostics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Life Sciences, Business, or related field preferred, commensurate experience may be considered
- 5+ years in healthcare reimbursement, revenue cycle management, market access, or payer relations
- Strong understanding of coding (CPT/ICD-10), billing, coverage policies, and payer adjudication
- Experience interfacing with healthcare providers in a consultative, field-based role
- Proven ability to manage complex accounts, including IDNs, large health systems, and specialty practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and virtual communication platforms
- Ability to travel 50% or more based on territory needs
- Preferred: CPC or relevant coding/billing certification
- Specialty pharmacy or diagnostics experience strongly preferred
- Prior experience with field-based roles in Market Access or Access & Reimbursement
- Knowledge of Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial payer landscape
