Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the abilities, interests, and challenges of individuals with disabilities. Develop and implement Individualized Career Plans (ICP) tailored to each client's goals, regularly reviewing and updating them to align with evolving needs. Collect client information through interviews and observations while maintaining accurate treatment records and reports. Oversee and mentor the Economic Empowerment Specialist to ensure effective service delivery and client financial independence. Collaborate with team members to coordinate comprehensive support and participate in outreach activities to recruit eligible participants. Prepare reports on client progress and program outcomes to inform evaluation and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Vocational Rehabilitation, or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in a vocational rehabilitation, career counseling, or workforce development setting
- Strong understanding of disability services, vocational rehabilitation practices, and workforce development strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, employers, and team members
- Demonstrated ability to develop individualized career plans and provide targeted counseling and guidance
- Knowledge of local employment resources, job training programs, and accommodations for individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, and cultures and their history and origins
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
Desired Qualifications
- Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) from the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC)
- Previous experience in supervising or mentoring staff, particularly in disability services or workforce development
