Job Summary
Assist therapists and therapy assistants with patient care, including preparing patients and equipment for treatment and transporting patients according to instructions. Perform routine cleaning, quality control checks, temperature monitoring, and whirlpool cultures as delegated by leadership. Maintain department supplies within budget, order inventory, and conduct room set-up. Communicate with patients, visitors, therapists, and team members regarding patient care and complete documentation in electronic medical records. Perform data entry and record keeping tasks assigned by leadership. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and demonstrate strong computer skills for records management.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED)
- BLS Basic Life Support (required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)
- Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of all work related and sensitive information
- Ability to work well with all levels of patients, the public and other health care professionals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire)
