Job Summary
Assist therapists and therapy assistants with patient care, including preparing patients and equipment for treatment, transporting patients, and completing related documentation. Perform routine cleaning, quality control checks, temperature monitoring, and whirlpool cultures as delegated by leadership. Maintain adequate department supplies within budget and order inventory. Communicate with patients, visitors, therapists, and team members regarding patient care and organization guidelines. Perform functions in patient care databases and electronic medical records systems. Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information while demonstrating strong computer, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED)
- BLS Basic Life Support certification (required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)
- Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of all work related and sensitive information
- Ability to work well with all levels of patients, the public and other health care professionals
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire)
