Job Summary
Assist therapists and therapy assistants with patient care, including preparing patients and equipment for treatment, transporting patients, and performing routine cleaning and quality control checks. Maintain department supplies within budget, order inventory, and conduct temperature checks and whirlpool cultures as delegated. Communicate with patients, visitors, and team members regarding care, while performing functions in patient care databases and electronic medical records. Complete record keeping and other tasks assigned by leadership, ensuring strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED)
- BLS Basic Life Support (required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)
- Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of all work related and sensitive information
- Ability to work well with all levels of patients, the public and other health care professionals
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire)
