Job Summary
Rehabilitation Specialist to join an interdisciplinary clinical team at the South Mountain Recovery Health Center in Phoenix, AZ. Responsibilities include assisting clients with identifying treatment and recovery goals, implementing services per Individual Service Plans, coordinating and monitoring rehabilitation-related services, documenting client progress, applying Motivational Interviewing and brief clinical interventions, engaging with clients’ natural support systems, and partnering with Employment Specialists and RSA Counselor to help clients pursue employment, education, and meaningful activities. Requires relevant behavioral health education and/or experience (associate degree or higher per the job posting), valid AZ driver’s license with driving history, fingerprint clearance, strong communication and DSM-V understanding (preferred), and ability to pass pre-employment screenings. Required Qualifications
- associate’s degree in behavioral health OR high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years behavioral health experience OR bachelor’s degree (not in behavioral health) with 1 year behavioral health experience OR bachelor’s degree in behavioral health with any behavioral health experience OR master’s degree or higher in behavioral health
- 1 year of supervised experience as Rehabilitation or Employment Specialist or Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor preferred
- Valid AZ Driver License, 21 years of age, minimum 4 years driving experience
- Must have valid Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance card or ability to apply within 7 working days of starting employment
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic understanding of DSM-V (preferred)
- Pass background check, TB test and other pre-employment screening
- Minimum typing speed 25 wpm
- Education and experience requirements as listed in job description
