Job Summary

Act as a residential counselor providing one-on-one support to clients with serious mental illness to foster independence, socialization, and medication compliance. Develop and implement individual service plans within a collaborative team while ensuring client safety and dosage accuracy. Provide transportation to medical appointments, advocate during visits, and document all follow-up instructions. Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment that encourages overall well-being and builds trusted rapport with clients as they progress through recovery. Work weekends and holidays as needed to support the Residential Rehabilitation Program's mission of helping individuals maintain housing and access essential services.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or a GED
  • A driver's license with 3-points or less and access to an insured vehicle
  • Must have availability to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays depending upon need of the program
  • Availability to work every Saturday and Sunday 7:30am-9:30am and 7:30-9:30pm in Lanham, MD

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
