Rehabilitation Physiotherapist (Part-time)

Job Summary

Deliver comprehensive assessment, clinical diagnosis, and evidence-based rehabilitation for SCCC Senior and Academy players following injury or surgery. Design, implement, and progress individualised rehabilitation programmes from acute phase through return-to-performance, leading on-field and return-to-running interventions. Collaborate with Strength & Conditioning staff to integrate recovery with physical development, monitor progression using objective metrics, and support safe return-to-play decisions. Provide treatment, manual therapy, and physiotherapy cover for designated training sessions and fixtures. Liaise with external healthcare professionals, maintain accurate medical records, and contribute to departmental audits and service development. Operate within established clinical governance frameworks while undertaking continuing professional development.

Required Qualifications

  • BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP)
  • Current advanced trauma management and emergency care accreditation (or ability to complete this in the near future if successful)
  • Experience working with adolescent or pathway athletes
  • Full Driving License
  • Understanding of growth and maturation considerations in sport
  • High standards of personal and professional integrity
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Experience working within Academy or talent pathway environments
  • Awareness of female athlete health considerations
