Job Summary
Conduct therapeutic exercises and mobility training with patients, utilizing modalities like electrical stimulation and ultrasound under Physical Therapist guidance. Assist in executing tailored treatment plans to enhance mobility, strength, and functional capabilities while monitoring progress on range of motion and strength. Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies. Prepare treatment rooms, maintain equipment, and document patient improvements meticulously. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and foster a supportive atmosphere through encouragement. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain strict patient confidentiality. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with occasional flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited associate degree in Physical Therapy from a recognized program
- Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- A strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions
- Proficiency in executing therapeutic exercises under supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Empathy and a strong desire to empower patients towards achieving their rehabilitation goals
- Ability to tailor treatment plans based on the unique challenges and conditions of varied patient populations
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach towards problem-solving
Desired Qualifications
- Additional experience in a clinical setting, especially in rehabilitation
- Previous exposure to specialized rehabilitation techniques and modalities
