Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (Outpatient) plans and implements individualized rehabilitation programs, collaborates with an interdisciplinary treatment team, develops treatment plans, directs and assists patients in exercises and functional activities, documents progress, utilizes EMR/EPIC for care documentation, and provides coverage for acute care evaluations as needed. Requires licensure in Nevada with NBCOT, BLS certification, and a Bachelor’s degree with graduation from an accredited OT program. Emphasizes patient education, hand therapy, splinting, ADL training, cognitive therapies, and adherence to post-operative rehab protocols; opportunities to supervise technicians and contribute to a comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Graduate from accredited University of Occupational Therapy Program
- Licensed and registered with the State of Nevada and NBCOT
- Maintains Current American Heart Association BLS certification and continuing education required by Nevada State Board
- A minimum of one year of experience preferred
- Ability to communicate with employees, physicians, patients and administrative staff in a courteous and professional manner
