Rehabilitation Counselor I

Conduct daily diagnostic imaging coverage including client safety checks, room inspections, and crisis intervention. Teach daily living skills, assist with task completion, and plan recreational activities and menus. Meet clients and staff to organize work assignments, conduct group counseling, and discuss treatment needs. Chart client behaviors, record significant events, and provide on-the-spot counseling consistent with program philosophy. This at-will direct service role supports adults and children with psychiatric, emotional, and developmental disabilities in achieving recovery and independence. The position operates under the supervision of the Assistant Program Director within the Garden Gate Respite program.
