Job Summary
The Rehab Therapy Tech II provides habilitative and rehabilitative therapy support at a State Supported Living Center in San Antonio. Primary duties include assisting the habilitation/rehabilitation supervisor with services in a specified therapeutic specialty (e.g., vocational rehabilitation or job coaching), implementing treatment plans, accompanying individuals to activities/appointments, performing housekeeping in therapeutic areas, collecting data, providing feedback to the interdisciplinary team, and supporting the development of feasible treatment goals. May drive a state vehicle as required and may work evenings, weekends, or overtime. Telework not eligible. Requires effective communication, ability to assist in plan development, and ability to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain within 90 days after hire
- Pass background checks and drug screen
- Eligible for fingerprinting and CANRS registry checks
- Age 18+ for employment at state-operated facility
