Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs, functional limitations, and mobility goals based on therapist assessment findings and physician orders. Deliver and fit equipment, ensuring established functional goals are met. Collaborate with customers, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to formulate recommendations for appropriate assistive and complex rehabilitation technology. Maintain eligibility status with vendor systems, keep abreast of funding requirements, and grow relationships with potential customers and referral sources. Meet or exceed established productivity goals year over year while providing excellent customer service for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or certification in related field
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in Assistive Technology direct customer-related services or related field
- Must have valid Drivers License
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs as needed
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
Desired Qualifications
- e.g. occupational therapy, physical therapy or biomedical engineering will be considered
- Minimum one (1) year experience working with complex rehabilitation technology
- Previous experience in selling DME equipment
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, responsibilities and projects independently and effectively
- Extensive knowledge of various clinical conditions impacting mobility, such as spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and stroke
- Comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation equipment, including power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, seating systems, adaptive controls, and other assistive devices
- Working knowledge of compliant billing processes for rehab/assistive technology equipment as necessary (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, etc.)
