Job Summary
Provide assistance with physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries and muscle, nerve, joint, and bone disease. Monitor clinic patients, support therapists with treatment needs, and facilitate a safe environment while providing excellent customer service. Assist in front office tasks including greeting patients, answering telephone calls, supporting registration, data entry, and patient record upkeep. Safeguard and escort patients between locations as needed. Continually clean and organize treatment areas and equipment, prepare supplies such as fitness equipment and linens, and perform laundry on occasion. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment. Clean work areas and equipment before, during, and after shift. Facilitate an efficient environment for coworkers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months of related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Background or interest in physical therapy, kinesiology, exercise science, or physiology
- CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or ability to obtain it prior to the start of employment
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
- Ability to lift, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds
- High degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa
