Job Summary
Assist therapists in providing rehabilitation services by instructing and preparing patients for treatments while monitoring safety and transporting them between rooms. Assemble, maintain, and sterilize equipment and supplies, ensuring adequate inventory and performing minor preventative maintenance. Support department operations through clerical functions, scheduling, file management, and transcribing dictation. Communicate professionally with patients and staff, maintaining confidentiality and following standard precautions during care.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One year experience in a medical setting
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Familiar with operating computers and ability to utilize computer systems
- Extended periods of standing and walking
- Repeated bending, stooping and reaching
- Pushing and pulling up to 150 pounds
- Carrying up to 75 pounds
- Lifting up to 75 pounds and heavier lifting in transferring or supporting patients who may suddenly become weak or helpless
- Maintain confidentiality on a daily basis
- Work well with other employees
- Follow standard precautions when providing direct patient care
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience in a medical setting preferred
