Job Summary
Conduct patient-related activities assigned by a Licensed Therapist and perform specific treatments under supervision, including hydrotherapy, ultrasound, massage, and electrical stimulation. Assist patients with transfers, ambulatory training, and daily care such as dressing and brace application. Maintain the therapy department by changing linens, cleaning equipment, and managing supplies. Support clerical functions including telephone answering, reception, and filing. Work full-time hours (35-40 weeks) in Jasper, Alabama, with availability for weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must have completed twelfth grade level of school
- Must have completed in-service training program
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to learn new programs
- Must be competent with mathematics
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs without help
- Must be able to lift over 50 lbs with the help of mechanical devices or other personnel
- Must be available to work full time hours (up to 40 hours/week and some weekends may be required)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience is highly desirable
- Some college preferred
- Previous experience in a medical setting
- Must be able to accept responsibility and respect authority
- Demonstrates good judgment and common sense
- Willingness to work under pressure
- Must be able to accept constructive criticism
- Has a preference for working with people
- Must be able to hold in confidence all matters of a personal nature regarding the patient and/or his family
- Must be able to work with individuals of all ages from neonates to geriatrics
