Job Summary
Physical Therapist (PT) develops treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques to create personalized fitness-oriented health care programs; administers prescribed PT treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility for patients recovering from accidents, trauma, or surgery; advises patients on exercise techniques and in-home treatment options; provides educational information about injury prevention and ergonomics; oversees support staff to ensure quality of care and productivity; collaborates with other healthcare professionals; documents patient care history timely and accurately; complies with all rules and procedures; assumes other responsibilities as assigned. Education and licensure include a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, NPTE, Kansas PT License, and preferred APTA residency; BLS certification and 1-2 years’ experience in acute/clinical settings are noted as preferred/required.
Required Qualifications
- Master degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution, required
- Completion of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited residency program, preferred
- Pass the National Physical Therapist Examination (NPTE), required
- Current Kansas Physical Therapy License, required
- Current BLS Certification, required
- 1-2 years’ experience in an acute or clinical setting, preferred
