Job Summary
Assist therapists in treating non-Medicare patients by retrieving and setting up exercise machines, monitoring repetitions and form, and administering modalities under direct supervision. Clean plinths, equipment, and surfaces to maintain clinic hygiene standards, while managing laundry duties to ensure towels and gowns are properly stored. Perform front desk responsibilities including answering phones, scheduling patients, patient registration, and insurance verification as assigned by the Clinic Manager or Therapy Director. Adhere to flexible schedules that may include early morning, evening, and Saturday hours depending on patient volume and clinic needs. Participate in monthly staff meetings, webinars, and departmental events to support the therapy team. Maintain CPR certification and proficiency in electronic medical records and Windows-based office technologies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Experience and proficiency working with computers and electronic medical records
- CPR Certification for Healthcare Professionals
- Strong Interpersonal Skills - Ability to develop relationships and collaborate in a decentralized organization
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with a proven track record of results
- Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience
- Proficiency in Windows based office technologies (e.g., Word, Excel)
- Ability to work independently
- Exudes professionalism in presentation
- Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in the English language
- Must participate in CAO's Rehab Aide training and pass CAO's Rehab Aide proficiency exam
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics when making necessary transfers and helping patients with exercises
- Adequate hearing to perform duties in person and over telephone
- Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate a keyboard, medical equipment, fax machine, scanner, photocopier, and telephone
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading materials from printed sources and computer screens
- Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone
