Job Summary
Rehab Aide (PRN) supports therapy services under licensed therapist direction by assisting with patient treatment programs, evaluating and performing delegated procedures, training patients in exercises and activities of daily living, applying assistive devices, operating therapy equipment, documenting thoroughly, and participating in continuing education to maintain licensure. The role involves helping deliver therapy services (exercise programs, heat/cold modalities, whirlpool, massage), coordinating with healthcare teams across Intermountain Health facilities, educating families and patients on treatment goals, and ensuring safety and policy adherence at St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within one (1) month of employment
- Formal training in a medical field, such as Therapy Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or other equivalent training
- At least one (1) year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility or department, preferred
