Regulatory/Sr Regulatory Professional

Monitor, interpret, and apply food and labeling regulations to Sargento projects and products while generating ingredient, nutritional, and allergen information for routine and customized labels. Prepare and process USDA label approvals, temporary approvals, and extensions, and manage nutrition software inputs and outputs for formulas and ingredient statements. Respond to customer technical questions, review packaging materials for compliance, and lead the review, update, and approval of documents including material, WIP, and finished good specifications. Act as the company's expert in regulatory compliance, interfacing with outside agencies, consultants, and academia to resolve regulatory matters and identify potential risks. Mentor staff in the overall regulatory process, promote continuous improvement, and ensure consistent interpretation of applicable product regulations. Maintain current knowledge of U.S. and international regulations, including kosher, halal, organic, and GMO designations, to support complex corporate projects and ensure accurate data across all labeling initiatives.
