Job Summary
Regulatory Specialist / Law Clerk supporting the Legal Department in regulatory compliance and risk mitigation for healthcare facilities. Responsibilities include monitoring federal/state regulatory developments (CMS, Minnesota Department of Health, Nursing Home Workforce Standards Board), drafting regulatory summaries, updating compliance trackers, assisting with regulatory surveys/audits/investigations, policy/procedure development, internal investigations, contract/operational support, and litigation/discovery assistance. Ideal for a recent law graduate or current law student with healthcare law interest and strong research and writing skills. Requires collaboration with Lead Counsel, ability to manage multiple priorities, and familiarity with healthcare regulatory frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1-3 years experience in healthcare, regulatory compliance, or legal support preferred
- Current law student (1L, 2L, or 3L) from an accredited law school preferred
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory framework
- High level of discretion with confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
