Job Summary
Build and operationalize KOHO Bank's finance regulatory reporting and controls framework, transitioning the function from launch readiness to steady-state reporting across OSFI and Bank of Canada requirements. Own the preparation, review, reconciliation, and submission of key regulatory returns, ensuring outputs are timely, accurate, and fully traceable to the general ledger and underlying source systems. Partner with Finance, Credit Risk, Treasury, Data, and Operations to close data gaps, strengthen source-to-report lineage, and design scalable processes defensible under audit and regulator review. Support the accounting and controllership team with month-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting tie-outs. This role supports the development of a bank-grade finance function at a pivotal moment for KOHO Bank, with work foundational to the operating model and highly visible across finance leadership, auditors, and regulators.
Required Qualifications
- CPA designation
- 6+ years of progressive experience in regulatory reporting, financial reporting, controllership, or audit within banking or other regulated financial services
- Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and IFRS
- Ability to reconcile reporting outputs back to the GL and financial statements
- Experience building or improving reporting processes, controls, and documentation in a fast-moving or evolving environment
- High proficiency in Excel and financial systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfort working through data, reconciliations, and reporting dependencies
- Clear, hands-on communication skills
