Regulatory Reporting Associate

Job Summary
Conduct daily and monthly transaction reporting reconciliations and coordinate with Settlements & Compliance to ensure exceptions are classified and closed. Identify recurring themes within daily exceptions and escalate issues to management when necessary. Create and maintain a book of reports and metrics while cross-training the Operational Controls team on BAU tasks such as P&L Reporting. Proactively participate in audit requests, walk-throughs, and regulatory meetings by organizing and reviewing all requested documents. Partner with IT and Business Units to evaluate and recommend new technologies, promoting automation efficiencies throughout the organization. Update departmental policy and procedure documentation and contribute to the implementation of new projects and systems.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Independent, self-motivated, with ability to adapt and be flexible in a team environment
- Strong analytical, prioritization and organizational skills
- Ability to directly address conflicts and escalate issues where appropriate
- Ability to work under pressure and to fixed deadlines
- Multi-tasker who can manage multiple streams of work concurrent
Desired Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build cross-functional relationships
- Product knowledge (equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, international) including the booking and life cycle of these transactions
- Knowledge of VBA/macros is a plus
- Risk and controls awareness
