Job Summary

Regulatory Policy Manager leads CPS Energy’s regulatory policymaking engagement before PUC and FERC, coordinating inputs from diverse teams to develop and execute regulatory policy strategy, monitor proceedings, draft filings/comments, and ensure timely participation. The role requires strong project management, cross-functional collaboration with Legal Services and business units, ability to analyze regulatory developments, communicate insights to leadership, and drive alignment on policy positions across regional, state, and national energy policy issues. Travel to San Antonio and Austin for meetings is required. Core competencies include stakeholder engagement, regulatory analysis, written materials for technical/executive audiences, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, Engineering, Communications, Business Administration, Law, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Master’s Degree (preferred) in related field
  • Certifications including Project Management Professional and Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of FERC and PUCT processes; ERCOT stakeholder processes and protocols; PURA and Administrative Procedures Act; energy market regulation and policy frameworks
