Regulatory Licensing Application Reviewer

Job Summary
Review and assess licensing applications for fintech domains including stored value facilities, retail payment services, open finance, and payment tokens. Conduct thorough screening of applicant documentation and interviews while communicating effectively with applicants and internal teams. Collaborate with specialized departments covering AML/CFT, consumer protection, fit and proper assessments, business model projections, and IT workflows. Present findings and recommendations to regulatory stakeholders. This four-month contract supports the Central Bank of the UAE's innovative licensing initiatives, with onsite work in the UAE required.
Required Qualifications
- Ex-regulators with hands-on experience in licensing application reviews
- Strong background in fintech regulatory frameworks and innovative payment services
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple specialized review areas
- Available to work onsite in the UAE for the duration of the contract (remote work options considered with UAE data residency compliance)
