Job Summary
Regulatory Lawyer – Vice President within Corporate Legal, supporting the firm across all lines of business in relation to UK/EU regulatory developments. Provides advisory services on banking and investment regulatory requirements, prudential rules, capital requirements, and regulatory reporting; collaborates with business, compliance and stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions (EMEA and U.S.); develops training programs; coordinates with outside counsel; and contributes to regulatory change implementation and advocacy efforts. Requires EU/UK qualified lawyer with 5+ years post-qualification experience and strong knowledge of UK/EU regimes, with a track record in financial services legal advisory and risk-aware, cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- EU and/or UK qualified lawyer, with at least 5 years relevant post-qualification experience in a top law firm and/or in-house financial services Legal team.
- Broad knowledge of EU and UK law and regulations governing the provision of banking and investment products and services.
- Quality product, technical, legal and other risk awareness skills and an ability to work across a broad set of products and services.
- Knowledge of the UK and / or European supervisory regimes for authorised credit institutions and investment firms.
- Ability to quickly familiarise and advise authoritatively on new regulatory developments as they emerge.
