Job Summary
Regulatory Initial Airworthiness Specialist responsible for supporting early-stage airworthiness activities across product development, certification planning, Permit to Fly, flight test readiness, and configuration management. Leverages knowledge of airworthiness requirements to prepare and maintain certification documentation, evidence tracking, and compliance demonstration packages; coordinates with Engineering, Configuration Management, Safety, Flight Test, and Technical Publications to ensure airworthiness data and configuration baselines are captured and traceable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Professional Training in airworthiness, certification, design assurance, compliance demonstration, configuration management, Permit to Fly, flight test support, and aviation safety
- Experience in aircraft/UAS development, certification support, initial airworthiness, design assurance, compliance demonstration, flight test airworthiness support, or regulatory approval activities
