Job Summary
Reconcile vessel manifests with the Vessel Management report and provide cargo manifests to U.S. Customs & Border Protection and other regulatory agencies. Resolve manifest discrepancies with business partners, communicate with governmental agencies for authorization of delivery and inspections, and ensure all shipments are properly documented for transmission to Arbitrios and CBP. Prepare electronic In-Bond documents, file Electronic Export Information in the ACE Secure Data Portal, and monitor daily foreign cargo entries to inform port locations of releases. Audit In-Bond entries, send arrival notifications, and submit corrections to Hacienda when necessary. This 6-week temporary assignment requires minimum 2 years of transportation business experience and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation related business
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet skills
- Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills
- Associates Degree or above in related field or related equivalent experience and/or combination of experience and education
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
- Visual requirement equal to that for clerical administrative whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcription, computer terminal, extensive reading, etc.
