Job Summary
Regulatory FDA Attorney to lead and strengthen Shimadzu's compliance strategy across the organization. Monitor evolving federal, state, and local regulatory requirements (FDA, OSHA, EPA, NRC, DOJ, DOT, etc.), assess applicability to operations, and advise leaders on practical steps to maintain compliance and reduce risk. Lead a three-person regulatory team, identify regulatory knowledge gaps, develop effective training solutions, measure training effectiveness, stay current on regulatory developments, and travel as needed to support business operations and compliance initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school
- At least 4 years of legal experience
- At least 2 years of experience in regulatory compliance
- Strong knowledge of regulations related to FDA, EPA, OSHA, NRC, DOJ, and applicable state and local requirements
- Experience researching, interpreting, and summarizing laws, regulations, statutes, and compliance guidance
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess risk, identify solutions, and communicate recommendations clearly
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills
- The ability to work effectively with stakeholders across functions, disciplines, and levels of the organization
