Job Summary
Advise Susquehanna personnel on regulatory requirements across securities, derivatives, and futures markets in APAC jurisdictions, covering regulators including ASIC, SFC, MAS, FSC/FSS, FSA, and SEBI. Monitor and assess new regulations, draft supervisory procedures, and coordinate regulatory examinations and inquiries from APAC regulators. Represent Susquehanna in interviews, examinations, and informal inquiries conducted by APAC regulators and enforcement bodies. Prepare employees for testimony in regulatory proceedings and coordinate with outside counsel across multiple APAC jurisdictions. Ensure consistency with the global Regulatory Affairs team while interfacing with trading, technology, operations, and legal teams. Join a flat hierarchy at one of the largest international proprietary trading firms, leveraging expertise in derivatives and market structure issues.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in providing guidance on regulatory and/or compliance matters
- Direct exposure to trading and market structure issues involving one or more major APAC regulators (e.g. ASIC, SFC, MAS)
- Deep understanding of APAC securities and derivatives regulatory frameworks, including market integrity rules, short selling regimes, reporting obligations and licensing requirements across key jurisdictions
- Experience managing multi-jurisdictional regulatory matters
- Ability to operate across APAC
- Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree
