Job Summary
Lead global product environmental compliance and sustainability programs across semiconductor manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to environmental laws, RoHS, REACH, PFAS, and customer-specific requirements like Sony Green and Apple standards. Manage substance compliance for raw materials, chemicals, and finished products by developing a global restricted substances list, overseeing material declaration programs, and evaluating exemptions and sunset dates. Establish internal controls, audits, and governance processes while leading a team of compliance professionals and engaging suppliers for chemical disclosures. Collect and report sustainability metrics to senior management, support customer audits and regulatory inquiries, and drive initiatives such as circular economy and waste reduction. Occasional overnight travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
- 8–10 years' experience in chemical compliance, product stewardship, or environmental regulations
- Deep expertise in RoHS, REACH, TSCA, PFAS, and Prop 65
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive for extended periods of time
- Occasional travel, some overnight, as required
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing
- Certification such as Certified Product Steward (CPS) or similar
- Strong understanding of chemical risk assessment and toxicology principles
- Expertise in material declaration systems and compliance databases
- Ability to interpret complex global regulations and translate into business requirements
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and supplier engagement
- Data analysis and reporting skills
