Job Summary
Prepare and verify product label declarations, including Nutrition Facts Panels, ingredient statements, and allergen declarations, using approved formulas and supplier documentation. Review packaging artwork and regulatory documents, escalating novel claims or exceptions to the Director. Maintain regulatory approval records, version control, and archival of superseded labels and specifications. Administer ingredient and supplier approval workflows, track expirations, and prepare approval packages for QA leadership. Support regulatory change control for formulas, suppliers, and packaging, ensuring approved versions are distributed to internal teams and manufacturing sites. Maintain audit-ready regulatory files and support investigations into labeling or specification errors. Partner with R&D, Marketing, Procurement, and Manufacturing to gather source information and support product launches.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent education and relevant experience
- Fluency in English
- Ability to follow established procedures, checklists, and approval workflows consistently and identify when escalation is required
- Ability to interpret formulas, supplier specifications, labels, and technical documents with guidance and identify inconsistencies among source records
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and recurring documentation tasks
- Clear written communication, collaboration, judgment, and willingness to ask questions when requirements are unclear
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, document-management systems, and the ability to learn nutrition-labeling and customer-portal tools
- High integrity and ethics; ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds and identities
- Sitting approximately 70% of the time, standing approximately 15% of the time, and walking approximately 15% of the time
- Frequent repetitive motion and regular use of a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment
- Regularly required to talk, hear, and see; specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Occasional bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds
- Regular movement through production, warehouse, laboratory, and office areas, including refrigerated or frozen environments
- Work is generally performed during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, with schedule adjustments as business needs require

Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in food labeling, regulatory compliance, specifications, supplier documentation, quality assurance, or food manufacturing preferred; relevant internships, co-ops, or academic project experience may be considered
- Experience with nutrition and labeling software such as Genesis or an equivalent system preferred; willingness and ability to learn required
- Familiarity with FDA food labeling requirements, allergens, Nutrition Facts, ingredient declarations, claims, specifications, and supplier documentation preferred
- Experience with document control, artwork review, customer portals, or technical product records preferred
- HACCP, PCQI, SQF, allergen-management, or food-labeling training preferred but not required at hire; assigned training may be completed as part of role development
