Job Summary
Support R&D and Manufacturing teams in safety and environmental compliance by maintaining chemical records, including SDS, and interpreting regulations and processes. Assist internal and external customers with compliance inquiries while utilizing expertise in Chemical Abstracts, SciFinder, and OSHA regulations to ensure regulatory adherence. This role requires familiarity with organic chemical structures, Microsoft Office applications, and data management systems such as Access, SAP, and SharePoint.
Required Qualifications
- Organic Chemistry or Bachelor's degree
- 4 years of industrial experience
- Familiarity with reading, interpreting SDS
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, primarily Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Familiarity with searching Chemical Abstracts / SciFinder, Registry Numbers, Chemical Nomenclature
- Familiarity with organic chemical structures, connecting names to structures
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Excellent analytical skills relating to interpreting regulations and processes
Desired Qualifications
- Masters degree
