Regulatory Compliance Associate

Job Summary

Coordinate broker license renewals, registrations, and continuing education tracking while maintaining records for designated brokers and branch offices. Prepare filings, sponsorship changes, and entity updates with regulatory agencies, and monitor license expiration dates to manage renewal workflows. Support responses to licensing audits, examinations, and information requests from regulatory authorities, and assist with investigating potential compliance issues. Track regulatory and legislative changes impacting multifamily operations, including property management, leasing, and resident screening, and help develop compliance alerts and guidance documents. Maintain compliance calendars, reporting tools, and documentation supporting regulatory obligations, and provide administrative support for the company's privacy compliance program. This hybrid role requires working three or four days per week at a corporate or regional office.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Compliance, Risk Management, Public Administration, or related field
  • Two years of experience in compliance, licensing, legal administration, risk management, property management, or a related field
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance principles and business licensing requirements
  • Skilled in maintaining attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of compliance records
  • Skilled in organization & documentation management, including maintaining accurate records and tracking compliance activities
  • Skilled in providing audit & compliance support
  • Ability to apply problem-solving skills & critical thinking to identify compliance issues and support effective resolutions
  • Knowledge of risk awareness principles and the ability to recognize potential compliance risk
  • Skilled in collaboration & relationship building with internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Skilled in project coordination, including managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and compliance initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and compliance tracking systems
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment & maintain integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • Must be able to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
  • Valid driver's license

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Compliance, Risk Management, Public Administration, or related field preferred
  • Experience with real estate broker licensing or property management operations preferred
