Job Summary
Regulatory & Complaint Specialist role focusing on coordinating research and compilation of information to respond to inquiries and complaints from state regulators, the BBB, attorneys generals, the CFPB, and attorneys. Responsibilities include reviewing regulatory inquiries to identify the required response, coordinating with business operations to gather information, formulating communications addressing all allegations and requests while balancing customer care with business objectives, coordinating responses with Law Department attorneys, acting as liaison with Law Department and Executive Office of Customer Care, tracking investigations and maintaining documentation, and communicating with regulators, attorneys, and advocates. Promote compliance with OneMain policies and applicable regulations; aim to improve customer outcomes and uphold rigorous documentation and coordination across legal and customer care teams. Location indicates Evansville, IN with hybrid work arrangements. Requirements emphasize an Associate Degree or equivalent experience, strong writing and multi-tasking abilities, professional demeanor, and 1-4 years in technical/legal correspondence and financial services or paralegal experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Business or legal writing or equivalent experience
- Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage work flow and business priorities
- Must be a clear and precise thinker with the ability to effectively communicate at different levels of understanding
- Must have professional and calm demeanor with ability to tactfully deal with and work through difficult situations independently
- 1-4 years' experience in technical/legal correspondence
- 1-4 years of financial service and/or paralegal experience
- Strong written communication skills
- Preferred: Bachelors degree
