Job Summary

Monitor and assess regulatory developments to identify relevance and potential impact on Vancity and Vancity Investment Bank operations. Conduct structured impact assessments, translate requirements into actionable guidance, and coordinate implementation activities across compliance, business, and control functions. Support regulatory engagement by preparing materials, coordinating responses, and managing information requests while tracking initiatives in centralized logs. Maintain documentation of developments, interpretations, and decisions; escalate delays or barriers as appropriate. Identify opportunities to improve regulatory change processes and stakeholder communications. This Full-time, Permanent role reports to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance Operations with a hybrid arrangement requiring on-site presence for events.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Risk Management, Law, Public Policy, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, governance, enterprise risk management, audit, legal operations, or a related field
  • Experience assessing regulatory requirements and supporting implementation of regulatory change initiatives
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks, governance practices, and risk management principles
  • Experience developing reports, impact assessments, briefing materials, and stakeholder communications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information and provide practical recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to a variety of audiences
  • Experience working within financial services, banking, credit unions, or other regulated environments
  • Experience supporting regulatory examinations, reviews, or interactions with regulators
  • Professional designation such as CAMS, CRCM, CIA, CRMA, CPA, or equivalent
  • Experience working on enterprise regulatory change, governance, or compliance transformation initiatives

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working within financial services, banking, credit unions, or other regulated environments is considered an asset
