Job Summary
Regulatory Analyst will manage regulatory compliance and permitting activities for well operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to federal and state agencies. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies. Responsibilities include interacting with regulatory agencies, preparing and filing reports and payments to federal/state agencies (RRC/NMOCD), submitting permits for injection, saltwater disposal, co-mingling, reading plats and drilling reports to complete paperwork, preparing 1/2 mile and 1/4 mile plats, collaborating with engineers/geologists/landmen/accounting, and working independently or in teams to meet deadlines. Schedule is Monday–Friday, office-based with no travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience working with databases and managing large data sets
- Experience filing standardized reports with federal and state agencies (RRC/NMOCD)
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED with related work experience
- 2+ years in Oil & Gas Production Accounting related work
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word required
- Knowledge of drilling technology and well bore schematics preferred
