Job Summary

Regulatory Affairs Officer for the MENA region responsible for supporting license and registration applications across multiple jurisdictions, maintaining a licensing tracker, coordinating with regulators and external advisors, contributing to long-term licensing strategy, maintaining country/entity regulatory frameworks, ensuring timely regulatory reports and compliance submissions, assessing regulatory applicability to new business needs, providing expert regulatory guidance to internal teams, and supporting merchant onboarding from a regulatory perspective. The role requires deep knowledge of financial services regulation in MENA, strong analytical and stakeholder-management skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, international environment with cross-functional collaboration.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Law, Compliance, Finance, or a comparable field
  • 5+ years of experience in a regulatory affairs, compliance, or legal advisory role
  • Deep knowledge of financial services regulation across MENA markets (including payment institution licensing, AML/CFT, and data privacy)
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (French a plus for Morocco)
  • Experience managing regulatory relationships and submissions with MENA authorities
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance and to work across licensing and operational compliance
