Job Summary
Lead regulatory approvals and advocacy for biotechnology crops (genetic modification and genome editing) in Japan. Develop and drive approval plans aligned with global project teams, prepare and submit documents in compliance with Japanese authorities, manage the approval and review processes within timelines, oversee isolation/field trials for GM crops, monitor evolving regulatory requirements, share updates with global teams, manage critical regulatory documents, and engage with industry associations. Preferred capabilities include strong cross-functional communication in Japanese and English, ability to interpret scientific data and clearly communicate to internal/external stakeholders, meticulous analysis and structured thinking, proficiency with digital tools, and the ability to work under pressure. Educational background requires a master A0s degree in plant biotechnology, agriculture, biology, genetics, or related fields; native Japanese and business-level English, with 5+ years in regulatory science/affairs and multi-national team experience.
