Job Summary
Lead regulatory compliance programs for existing products and new product launches, reviewing and approving nutrition facts panels, ingredient statements, allergen declarations, and food labels. Ensure adherence to FDA, USDA, customer, and international regulatory requirements while overseeing packaging artwork approvals and regulated marketing claims. Partner with R&D, Quality, Purchasing, Operations, Sales, and Marketing throughout product commercialization to maintain the highest standards of compliance and food safety. Monitor changing food regulations, conduct regulatory reviews, and support internal, customer, and third-party audits. Supervise and mentor regulatory team members while serving as the organization's regulatory subject matter expert for continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field
- Master's degree
- 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, or a related technical field
- 2+ years of experience managing food labeling, nutrition facts panels, ingredient statements, and regulatory documentation
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of FDA & USDA regulations
- Strong knowledge of HACCP
- Strong knowledge of SQF
- Strong knowledge of GMPs
- Strong knowledge of SOPs
- Experience reviewing food labels, packaging artwork, and regulatory claims
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with ERP systems
- Proficiency with nutrition analysis/compliance software

- Experience supporting new product commercialization
- HACCP Certification
- PCQI Certification
- SQF Practitioner Certification
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification
- Experience with allergen management and ingredient compliance
- Experience working with customer-specific regulatory requirements
