Job Summary
Regulatory Affairs Program Coordinator (RN) at Wellstar supports the Manager of Regulatory Affairs in readiness and accreditation/regulatory compliance activities, including mock surveys. Coordinates self-tracers, conducts process tracers, analyzes findings, and reports tracer results. Uses clinical expertise to advise and collaborate with leaders, physicians, and staff. Interprets CMS Conditions of Participation, The Joint Commission, Georgia DPH, and other governing bodies with focus on hospital, laboratory, and ambulatory care expectations. Develops and delivers education on licensure, accreditation, and regulatory trends; assists with workflow development, policy/procedure reviews, mock survey assessments, and continuing education. Works with organizational leaders to identify risks and opportunities, develops corrective action plans, and tracks their effectiveness. Conducts tracers and audits of documentation/processes to improve compliance; supports accreditation applications and pre/post-survey activities. Performs other duties and adheres to Wellstar policies. Requires clinical RN experience in acute care; 2+ years minimum (5+ preferred). Proficient with MS Office and data management; RN licensure (Single State) required; CPR/CPHQ preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN-Compact or RN - Reg Nurse (Single State)
- CPHQ Preferred.
- Minimum 2 years Acute care setting as a clinician/registered nurse.
- Minimum 5 years Acute care setting as a clinician/registered nurse. Preferred
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Data Abstraction and Management
