Job Summary
Greet customers in person and over the phone to promote BCAA insurance products and services, including new memberships, travel insurance, ICBC, and optional auto insurance. Collaborate with BCAA Support Teams and Underwriting to recommend the right coverage, identify cost-saving opportunities for life events, and work with team members to meet sales goals. Increase industry knowledge through BCAA training courses while maintaining annual licensing requirements and staying updated on the latest product offerings. This role supports BCAA's mission to deliver peace of mind to one in three BC households through personalized advice and exceptional customer service experiences.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years' experience in a sales and service environment
- Level 1 Insurance license (or a commitment to secure your license within your first 45 days through BCAA)
- Completion of Autoplan Essentials (or a commitment to complete within your first three months through BCAA)
- Limited history of Errors & Omissions and in good standing with the Insurance Council of BC
- Comfortable using technology, including working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Desired Qualifications
- CAIB certification
- knowledge of ICBC systems
- ability to speak other languages aside from English
