Registration-Switchboard Clerk (Casual) - Squamish General Hospital

Register patients for emergency services and diagnostic procedures by collecting personal, demographic, and payment information using hospital systems. Operate the computerized telephone exchange, locate personnel via pagers and answering services, and respond to emergency signals. Process admissions, transfers, and discharges while preparing registration documents, obtaining signatures, and applying patient ID bands. Collect payments, issue receipts, manage patient valuables, and arrange documentation for transfers to other facilities. Review and update patient records, file documents, photocopy information, and handle urgent requests for patient information. Perform general clerical tasks including typing, mailing, filing, and ordering supplies.
